Celestia vs Luna/Nightmare Moon commission

This one's a rather old piece I did years ago, commissioned in 2016. It kinda shows its age by the artistic quality but I still like some aspects of it so decided on posting it at long last.

So about the art; the idea of the client was mashing up the characters of the Star Wars and My Little Pony franchises and reenacting certain scenes from the Star Wars movies. I've done multiple pieces of this particular theme for him over the years (and there is one that's still in progress) and will be posting them in future days. Here, we have Princess Luna (the stand-in for Anakin Skywalker) turning into Nightmare Moon (switching to the dark side) after a duel with Princess Celestia (the stand-in for Obi-Wan Kenobi) on the planet Mustafar (happens in The Revenge of the Sith). They're having some drama .

It was fun to work on as I love the ambition and the creativity of the idea behind this set of Star Wars X My Little Pony commissions. I got to come up with amalgamations for each chatacter (in collaboration with the client as he had inputs as well), which was enjoyable.
