Toriyama

As I heard the news of Akira Toriyama's passing, along with feeling sad, I realized that I've never drawn any of his characters despite my appreciation of his concept art and being a fan of his body of work in general. So, here's my long overdue but small take. I've always been into his work on video games more than mangas frankly so I gravitated towards Crono immediately. The original Dragon Ball on the other hand is one of the first anime shows I've ever seen at the age of 5 or 6 (it was on Turkish TV in the 90s). So kid Goku had to be featured too. Had to keep the art simple as I lack time due to work these days... Toriyama's influence on the entertainment industry is inarguably huge. Aside from giant hits like DBZ, some franchises are synonymous with his name like Dragon Quest (have no idea what's going to happen to it now). I know we'll all miss his art onward, very much.
